Samsung India Inaugurates Its New Plaza at Haldwani

Dehradun: Digital technology leader, Samsung India today announced the inauguration of its new Samsung Plaza in Haldwani, Uttarakhand. Located at Tikonia Chowk, Nainital Road, Haldwani, the Samsung Plaza was inaugurated by Mr. Neeraj Bahl, Regional Manager - North, Samsung India and Mr. Vimal Sethi, Proprietor – GV’s Electroworld, in the presence of other Samsung representatives and customers.

Speaking at the inauguration, Mr. Bahl said, “We are delighted to add a new Samsung Plaza to our existing network in Uttarakhand. The Plaza offers our entire array of state-of-the-art technology products in an interactive environment for customers. This is a unique concept that would help Samsung enjoy greater visibility and get closer to our customers, at large. We are looking at further expanding our network with the addition of two new Plazas in the state very soon.”

Set up in 2700 sq ft area, the Plaza has on display Samsung’s entire line-up of products - Flat Panel TVs (including Smart and 3D TVs), Home Theatre systems, Digital Cameras, Refrigerators, Washing Machines, Microwave Ovens, Air Conditioners, Netbooks/Notebooks, SmartPhones and Printers –all displayed in an uncluttered shopping environment.

Samsung‘s smart solutions on its 3D TV and Home Theatre packages for consumers are also available in the Samsung Plaza. As part of the Smart Solution, a customer buying a Samsung Home Theatre System (HT-D330, HT-D350, HT-D450, HT-D453, HT-D550, HT-D555 and HT-D5550) along with a Samsung 32” and above Flat Panel TV can save up to Rs. 11,000 on the Home Theatre system. Additionally, the purchase of a Samsung 3D LED TV (D6000 and above) or 3D PDP TV (D490 and above) would qualify the consumer for a Rs 10,000 discount on 3D pack that comprises of a 3D BD Player with an HDMI Cable, two Battery operated 3D Glasses, five Blu-ray and one 3D movie title (Spiderman 1&3, Angels & Demons, 2012, Ghost Rider and Megamind). SAB TV launches ‘Ammaji Ki Galli’; Marks the return of  Farida Jalal & Rakshanda Khan

~Starting June 20^th, 2011 every Monday-Friday at 7:30 pm~

Delhi :- SAB TV,India’s leading family comedy entertainment channel  presents a light hearted family offering  ‘Ammaji Ki Galli’ .The  show is based in Amritsar and captures the tale of various families residing in a galli with one common central point, Ammaji.With this show SAB TV is set to further strengthen its presence in 1mn+towns.The show features veteran actress Farida Jalal in a pivotal role and marks the return of Rakshanda Khan to fiction after a long hiatus.Premiering on June 20^th it will be aired every Mon-Friday  7:30 pm on SAB  TV.

The Protagonist, Ammaji is the eldest member of this galli and  has been paralysed since a long time.Everyone in the neighbourhood empathizes with her and often pour their hearts out to Ammaji who can do nothing beyond offering silent empathy .However, there is a twist to the tale.Later on the audience will discover how in her own ways Ammaji plays the invisible hand of god for the residents of this galli.

In another first Rakshanda Khan will be seen essaying the character of  a vivacious  Punjabi housewife who has a fetish for cleanliness.She is  paired with Abir Goswami  who is essaying the character of  Surjeet Singh, a  simple ,quiet & intellegent man who is extremly good with numbers.

Ammaji aka Farida Jalal said that, “I have been contemplating my comeback for quite some time but, I needed a show and a role I could do complete justice to. I enjoy watching SAB and I have always done films and shows which have been family oriented. When I met the director and producer of Ammaji ki Galli, I knew this had to be my comeback show and I take immense pride in associating with SAB TV for this show.”

Rakshanda Khan said that , “I am quite excted to play the role of Parminder .It is first time that I am doing a family comedy show and being paired with Farida Ji.Its fun working with her on and off the sets too.

She adds that, “I will be seen in a new avatar where, I play a vivacious,young punjabi housewife and mother.Iam playing a character who  loves to fly kites, is obsessed with cleanliness and has a cute son Bacchitar.”

Ammaji ki Galli is being produced by Abhimanyu Singh of Contiloe Productions and co produced by Divynidhi sharma and Aparajita Sharma of Angry Young Man Productions. Divyanidhi & Aparajita Sharma have written the script of Ammaji Ki Galli and have previously written scripts for films like Aloo Chat,Zokkomon and have several TV shows to their credit.The show is being directed by well known director Ravi Bhushan.
