Summer fiesta on Mrs. Tendulkar

Mumbai: Summer time is holiday season for one and all!!! So, adding bit of fun and frolic to the hot summer season are light and fun filled episodes of Mrs. Tendulkar which recreate the magic of visiting your relatives in villages.
Summer vacations are on in full swing and the children want an outing. They decide to visit their ‘Mama’ who lives in the village. In an attempt to fulfill the wishes of the children, the entire bank ends up applying for leave in order to go out of the city.
Unfortunately, they do not get their desired leave from the bank which leaves the children very disheartened. Unable to see their sadness, Mrs. Tendulkar aka Deven Bhojani has a brilliant idea of actually recreating the village life for them to understand their culture.
All adults help Mrs. Tendulkar in his effort to transform the society to look as a village. The early morning office goers now have to do without their tooth brushes and instead go the traditional route. After all, life in the village is much simpler.
For the children, it was all like a dream as they watched and participated in pulling water from the well, feeding the cattle, milking the cows, playing household games like gili danda and kancha to running around in the green surroundings of the fields.
Says Suhaas Tendulkar aka Deven Bhojani, “Living in a city like Mumbai, we have totally forgotten the ‘simple’ and ‘easy’ life of the village. This story line, literally took me back to childhood days, when I used to spend my vacations with family in my native place. People in the village live like one big family, which is hard to find in cities. We were in high spirits and thoroughly enjoyed shooting for this sequence and I am sure our audience is going to love the whole setup.”
Kishori Godbole aka Vibhavri says, “I always wanted to experience a villager’s life and I love every moment of shooting the sequence. Everything was very new to me. I have heard a lot about village lifestyle and the simplicity and hard work of the villagers really touches me. I was very excited to experience all of it.”
SAB TV is known to provide an insight into the joys and grievances of the common man and with this new twist in the storyline highlights similarities and differences between the people and atmosphere of the city and village life with a humorous angle.
