CHANDRAMUKHI CHAUTALA BANI CHOREOGRAPHER!

We know that she is damn good with giving a karara thappad to Gulgule, Gopinath and anyone she feels like at the drop of the hat. We also know her best, for solving people’s problems in her unique style. We have also laughed our hearts out hearing her typical hariyanvi accent. Every time you see the Imaan Chowki’s constable’s dance to the tunes of the latest Bollywood numbers, you might wonder who is the choreographer behind these moves?
It is none other than Kavita Kaushik who dons the choreographer’s hat on the sets of FIR which airs on SAB TV every Mon-Friday at 10:30 p.m.
Our very own Chandramukhi Chautala, other than being a great actor is an ace choreographer as well. The steps required for any sequence is created by the suave cop herself. She is the person behind all the grooves and setting the dance floor ablaze. In fact, most of the FIR members are now her dance ‘students’!
Kavita Kaushik essaying the role of popular inspector Chandramukhi Chautala says, “Just like acting, dancing comes naturally to me. I am fortune enough to not have two left feet unlike many other members of the show! In fact dancing happens to be my favorite hobby. Every time I get to know about the upcoming dance sequences, I get excited like a kid! It is like a stress buster to me. Portraying the role of inspector I have previously performed to various songs and Qawalis as part of the role. And I always refused to learn moves from anyone.”
All co actors on the sets are more than happy to shake a leg under Kavita’s supervision. And now that the superb actor and prolific dancer Aamir Ali too has also joined the show as Chulbul Pandey its double treat for the crew!!
Tune in to SAB TV every Monday to Friday Monday-Friday at 10:30 p.m on SAB TV

Interview of Muskaan Arora

Interview of Muskaan Arora

Muskaan Arora popularly known as Saakshi of Sahara One's Mata Chowki talks about her journey in the industry...

Being tagged as one with divine powers is an amazing feeling and you need to be really lucky to be tagged as one. Muskaan Arora is one among the lucky to play such a divine role on television. She created a spiritual magic through her long running show, Mata Ki Chowki on Sahara One.

In a candid, she speaks her heart out.

Tell us about your story of getting into acting?
I was not at all interested in acting as I wanted to do Law. I was in Delhi when my granny asked me to give this audition. Though I told her I was not at all interested in it, she told me that I should give it a shot. Then when my friend asked me to accompany her for the auditions, I just went along with her. But accidentally those people ended liking me instead of my friend and told me to audition and hence I gave the audition and I got selected. After that I came to Mumbai and did ads and stuffs and that's how I finally got into acting.

Did your family consent easily when you said you want to be an actor?
My parents knew that I'll become a dancer or something on those lines, because since I was a kid I used to stand in front of the TV and dance and act. But when they came to know that I really was going to become an actress, they were surprised, but they never stopped me and let me do what I wanted to do.

Is this your first show?
No, I have done 35 commercial ads and show Thodi Khuski Thode Ghum. After that I did DON and did some episodic for the show Hello Dolly, and now I am doing Mata Ki Chowki on Sahara One.

Are you seeing someone? Describe your dream man?
I am totally single and very much wanting to mingle. My dream man is definitely not going to be an actor and I wish he is a Businessman or a Politican. He needs to be very understanding and calm and nice, because I m a little hyper. And he has to be very friendly, so that I can talk to him about anything and everything.

Tell us something about your nature?
I am very friendly and I love talking because of which I gel really well with others, but I hate people who backbite and dominate others. I love dressing up in a very classy way simultaneously I am a very simple girl.

At which point of your life have you struggled the most?
I had to struggle when I shifted to Mumbai, not because of work, but because of the city and the problems related to it. The traffic, the people and all, it was a little tough to adjust in the beginning, but later on I adjusted to it.

What are your interests other than acting?
I love driving, swimming, dancing, painting, reading books and a big time song buff. I need music all the time.

Favorite holiday destination
I am a big time travel freak. I love Hong Kong and Dubai and Delhi a lot. I really want to visit Singapore as I have heard a lot about it.

Can you cook? Your favorite dish?
Yes I am a very good cook, I can cook most of the things, but I can't prepare really yummy food as compared to my mother. I love Pasta and Butter Chicken, I can't live without these two dishes.

Do you believe in astrology and numerology?
No I am not a follower of it, nor do I believe in it. Not that it is fake or something, nor am I against people who believe in it. It's just that I like to stay away from such things because they unnecessarily create opinions in your mind, so I keep myself away from it.

Any idols you have?
My granny is the biggest idol to me. She is the best lady on planet earth for me as she has supported me always in my life, and is my best friend also.

Introvert or Extrovert?
I am a total extrovert. I can't live without talking and I like people with whom I can interact about things. I love to be happy in life always.

Your recent memorable fan experience.
I went to Jalandhar this Ram Navmi. The MLAs of Jalandhar had called me as the celebrity Chief Guest for the Shobha Yatra which is like a rally. It was a nine hour rally, and the people were going totally crazy seeing me there. They came to me and touched my feet, be it young or old, all did the same. They all were calling out my names. I was really shocked to see the crowd; because according to the statistics they said that over 10 lakh people were there that day for the rally. It was such a grand welcome. I got blessing of the gurus and got so much respect. I was so touched by all that. It was such a great feeling, and before I left from there, they requested me to go to Jalandhar every year, I felt so glad and proud.

Plans for the future.
Currently I am doing Mata Ki Chowki but later I wish to do something bigger and get the same amount of respect and love from the people. And I also want to be known more. I really am looking forward for a reality show and I desperately want to go in the Big Boss house and see how I survive there. Actually there is a secret reason to this, because I am totally crazy behind the voice of Big Boss; I find it so sexy. And I also want to do a comedy show.

Getting to know Digu of Laagi Tujhse Lagan

Aadesh Chaudhary who essays the role of Digamber, aka Digu in Playtime Creation’s  Laagi Tujhse Lagan thought the role was risky, but just took it up because he loved the character. He says, “To join a show midway and establish yourself is difficult. It could take the show on new heights or remain stagnant. Luckily the response that I have received is encouraging. The reason why I took up a character like Digu is that it has various layers to it. He is a gunda, and he does drink alcohol but for the people in his basti he is a hero. Digu’s character has also seen a transition emotions and behavior wise. Earlier he was someone who is rash and could get angry easily. But Nakusha has made Digu more emotional.”  The young actor feels that every character needs to be studied. And once he got the brief, he started working on the mannerisms and speech all by himself, trying to create a unique style rather than copying someone who had done something similar in the past. His experience in the month and half that he has been with the show looks great, he says, “The production house and the director have been very supportive of me. After they gave me the brief, they let me experiment with my character the way I felt was appropriate. Also the atmosphere on the set is so chilled out that the entire unit plays cricket in the evening!” Aadesh’s scenes are majorly with Mahii Vij who plays Nakusha, the female lead in the show, he expresses, “Mahii is sweet. We do a lot of masti on the set. She also made me feel comfortable on the shoot in the initial phase, even though she has been with the show from the start. We rehearse all the scenes; she also gives me inputs which help us improvise.” Finally we ask him if he has any similarities with Digu, Aadesh says, “The only similarity is the innocence of the heart. That is my personal touch to the character.” We can see this promising actor reach new heights in Laagi Tujhse Lagan on Colors at 8:30pm.

Mumbai: Suzlon Energy Limited, the world’s fifth largest* wind turbine supplier, reported its earnings today, for the quarter ended March 31, 2011.

Mr. Tulsi R. Tanti, founder, Chairman and Managing Director – Suzlon Group, said: “The past year has seen consistent improvement in our Group performance, and we are very pleased to report a profitable fourth quarter. Our focus on emerging and key developed markets, along with offshore, is paying dividends with a robust orderbook and a strong pipeline of projects under discussion. The India market, in particular, has delivered tremendous growth. We have made substantial  progress on many strategic initiatives, including successfully launching the S9X and 3XM turbines suites, and initiating the ‘squeeze-out’ of REpower’s minority shareholders – both of which will play an important role in further strengthening our position.

“Looking at the bigger picture, events over the past year have reinforced the need for a balanced, safe energy portfolio to secure and de-risk our energy future, and to mitigate the threat of climate change. The case for wind is stronger than ever, and I remain very optimistic about the future of our company and the industry.”

Mr. Robin Banerjee, Chief Financial Officer – Suzlon Energy Limited, said: “We are very pleased to report a profitable Q4. Key initiatives focused on lowering operating costs, rationalizing inventories and improving overall operating efficiency have delivered positive results. Along with lowering our cost base, we have brought down our net debt-to-equity ratio to 1.36, and maintained a tight focus on cashflow and driving orders. This has resulted in strengthening our competitive positioning and making the Group more flexible and agile.”

Key Updates
